How to choose a mono copier
Three questions settle it in most cases.
Do you actually need A3?
If you rarely print beyond A4, a desktop model like the 4020i or 5021i costs less, takes up less space and does everything else the same.
How much do you print a month?
Buying too small is the expensive mistake. Check your current meter readings before deciding — speed should track your real monthly volume, not a guess.
Do you need colour at all?
If most output is text and internal documents, a mono machine’s lower cost per page adds up fast. Many offices pair one mono workhorse with a smaller colour device for the occasional job.

Which Konica Minolta mono copier is right for my office?
Start with two questions: do you need A3, and how many pages a month do you print. The 4020i to 5021i are compact A4 desktop machines. Is a mono copier cheaper to run than colour?
Yes, considerably. Mono devices use a single black toner, so cost per page is typically a fraction of a colour page. If most of what you print is text, contracts, invoices or internal documents, a mono machine is the cheaper long-term choice.
Should I lease or buy a mono copier?
Most South African offices lease, bundling the machine, toner and servicing into one predictable monthly cost. Buying can be cheaper over a long life if you have the capital available. We quote both side by side.
