How to find your monthly volume
- Check the meter readings on your current machine for the last 3 months, or your current service invoices.
- Split colour and black and white: they are priced differently.
- Allow for growth over the contract term (3 to 5 years).
Other things that decide the right machine
- A3 or A4: if anyone prints spreadsheets, plans or posters, choose A3.
- Scanning: a dual-scan document feeder saves time if you scan a lot.
- Finishing: stapling, hole punching or booklets add attachments, and change the price.
- Peak demand: many people printing at the same time need a faster machine than the monthly total suggests.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know what size copier I need?
Check your average monthly page count from meter readings, then choose a model rated comfortably above it. Our sizing tables list every bizhub model from 9,000 to over 200,000 pages a month.
Should I choose A3 or A4?
Choose A3 if you ever print spreadsheets, plans or posters, or need booklets. A4 machines are smaller but cannot print A3.
What if my print volume grows?
Choose a model with headroom above today's volume. If you lease, you can move to a bigger machine at the end of the term.
